Description and Operation

Description

The multimedia connector on the upper console cover is provided for customers who want to listen to external portable music players, such as MP3 players, through the vehicle audio system when connected to this connector. This is an optional feature for the customer. In case of sound distortion from an external music device connected to AUX, the audio unit may be faulty, but the output level of the player does not conform to the AUX specification.

Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front panel of the floor console (A).
  3. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the front panel of the floor console.
  4. Remove the multimedia jack (A) after releasing the fixed hooks.

Installation

  1. Install the multimedia jack.
  2. Connect the connectors to the front panel of the floor console.
  3. Install the front panel of the floor console.
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
