Outside rear view mirror
Adjust the position of the rear view mirrors before driving off.
Your vehicle has outside rear view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors are adjusted remotely, using the dedicated control. The mirrors can be folded to prevent damage when entering an automatic car wash or when driving through narrow passages.
CAUTION - Outside rear view mirrors
- The rear view mirror is convex. Objects seen in the mirror appear farther away than they actually are.
- Before changing lanes, always look behind or check the interior rear view mirror to determine the actual distance of vehicles following you.
Remote control

Manual type The outside rear view mirrors are equipped with a convenient control. Adjust them using the lever located at the lower front corner of the window.
Before driving off, always check that the rear view mirrors are correctly adjusted, i.e., so that you can see behind both at the side and in the center. When looking in the mirrors, always be careful when judging the distance of following vehicles or vehicles in the other lane.

Electric type (if equipped) The electric outside rear view mirrors are adjusted using the control switch. To adjust the position of both outside rear view mirrors, the ignition switch must be in the ACC position.
Move the lever (1) to R or L to select the right or left mirror respectively, then press the control in the desired direction (up, down, left or right).
After adjusting, move the selector to the center position to prevent accidental movement.
WARNING
- When the mirrors reach their maximum angle, they stop; however, the motor continues to run as long as the switch is pressed. Do not hold the switch down longer than necessary; the motor may be damaged.
- Do not try to adjust the outside rear view mirrors manually. Doing so may damage them.
