Replacement

1. 1

   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

   Remove the front seat.

   (Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

   Remove the floor console assembly.

   (Refer to Floor Console - "Floor Console Assembly")

   Remove the cluster fascia.

   (Refer to Crash Pad - "Instrument Panel")

   Remove the lower airbag panel [LH].

   (Refer to Crash Pad - "Crash Pad Lower Panel")

   Remove the center panel.

   (Refer to Crash Pad - Center Fascia Panel)

7. 7

   Remove the heater control unit.

   (Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - Heater and Air Conditioning Control (FATC))

   Remove the center lower panel of the airbag.

   (Refer to Crash Pad - Center Crash Pad Panel)

   Remove the steering wheel.

   (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel")

    Remove the steering column lower cover panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "Steering Column Cover Panel")

    Remove the front pillar trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "Front Pillar Trim")

    Remove the driver side side panel and ventilation duct (A).

    Separate the photo sensor (A) using a puller.

    Remove the photo sensor (A) after disconnecting the photo sensor connector.

    Disconnect the airbag connector (A) after loosening the mounting nuts (B).

    Remove the main airbag assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.

    Remove the passenger airbag (A) after loosening the screws.

    

18. 18

    Install in the reverse order of removal.
