Wheel Alignment and Balancing, Tire Replacement If
Wheel Alignment and Tire Balance
The wheels of your vehicle were carefully aligned and balanced at the factory to ensure maximum tire life and the best overall performance.
In most cases, you will not need to realign the wheels again. However, if you notice abnormal tire wear or your vehicle pulls to one side, wheel alignment may need to be adjusted.
If you notice the vehicle vibrating when driving on a smooth road, the wheels may need to be rebalanced.
CAUTION - Wheel Weight
Incorrect wheel weights may damage your vehicle's aluminum wheels. Use only approved wheel weights.
Tire Replacement

If the tire is worn evenly, the tread wear indicator (A) will appear as a solid band across the tread. This shows that the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm (1/16 inch). Replace the tire.
Do not wait until the band appears across the entire tread before replacing the tire.
The ABS operates by comparing wheel speeds. Tire size affects wheel speed. When replacing tires, all 4 tires must be of the same size and type as those originally fitted to the vehicle. Using tires of a different size may cause the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ESC (Electronic Stability Control) to operate incorrectly.
✽ NOTICE
- We recommend using the same tires as those originally supplied with the vehicle when replacing tires. Otherwise, the driving characteristics may be changed.
- It is best to replace all four tires at the same time. If this is not possible or necessary, replace the two front or two rear tires as a pair. Replacing only one tire may seriously affect your vehicle's handling.
Compact Spare Tire Replacement
The compact spare tire has a shorter service life than a standard-size tire. Replace it when you see the tread wear indicator bands on the tire. A replacement compact spare tire must be the same size and design as the one supplied with your new vehicle and must be installed on the same compact spare wheel. The compact spare wheel is not intended to be fitted to a standard-size wheel, and the compact spare wheel is not intended to accept a standard-size tire.
