The headlights (and/or taillights) will stay on for approximately 5 minutes after the ignition key is removed with the engine off. However, if the driver's door is opened and closed, the headlights will turn off after 15 seconds.

The headlights can be turned off by pressing the LOCK button on the transmitter (or Smart Key) twice, or by turning the light switch off or to the AUTO position.

CAUTION

If the driver exits the vehicle through any door other than the driver's door, the battery saving function does not operate and the headlight follow-me home function does not turn off automatically. This will discharge the battery. In this case, be sure to turn off the lights before exiting the vehicle.
