Lighting Control

The light switch has headlamp and parking lamp positions.
To operate the lights, turn the knob on the end of the lever to one of the following positions:
1. OFF
2. Automatic Light Position (if equipped)
3. Parking light position
4. Headlight position
Parking Light Position

When the light switch is in the position lights position (2nd position), the tail lights, license plate lights and instrument panel lights come on.
Headlight position

When the light switch is in the headlight position (3rd position), the headlights, tail lights, position lights, license plate lights and instrument panel lights are on.
NOTICE
The ignition switch must be in the ON position to turn on the headlights.
AUTO Light Position

When the light switch is in the AUTO position, the tail lights and headlights will turn on or off automatically depending on the amount of light outside the vehicle.
CAUTION
- Never place anything on the sensor (1) located on the instrument panel. This ensures better control of the automatic light system.
- Do not clean the sensor with glass cleaner. The cleaner may leave a light film that can interfere with sensor operation.
- If your vehicle has tinted glass or other types of metallic coating on the front windshield, the automatic light system may not operate properly.
