1. Remove the tow hook and wheel wrench from the luggage compartment (page 7-4).

2. Wrap the jack handle or a similar tool in a soft cloth to prevent damage to the painted bumper, then open the cover in the front bumper.

CAUTION

Do not use excessive force, as you may damage the cover or scratch the painted bumper surface.

CAUTION

Remove the cover completely and store it in a safe place so it is not lost.

3. Carefully screw the tow hook in using the wheel wrench.

4. Hook the tow rope to the tow hook.

CAUTION

If the towing eye is not screwed in properly, it may unscrew and come out of its socket while towing the vehicle. Make sure the towing eye is screwed in properly into the socket.
