The remote start run time can be extended once by performing the steps in 'Remote Starting the Vehicle' in this chapter. The run time is calculated as follows:

  • The first 10-minute run time begins when the remote start function is performed.
  • The second 10-minute run time begins immediately when the remote start function is performed. For example, if the engine has been running for 5 minutes and an additional 10 minutes is added, the engine will run for 15 minutes in total.

A maximum of two remote starts, or one remote start with an added run time, is allowed between ignition cycles.

The ignition switch must be placed in the ON position and then returned to the OFF position before the remote start function can be used again.
