To use the remote start function to start the engine, perform the following:

  1. Point the Intelligent Key toward the vehicle.
  2. Press the LOCK button
    to lock all doors.verrouiller toutes les portières.to

  3. Within five seconds, press and hold the remote start buttonenfoncé jusqu'à ce que les clignotants
    until the turn signal lights flash. If the vehicle is not visible, press and hold the remote start buttonenvironfor about
    two seconds.

The following occurs when the engine starts:

  • The parking lights turn on and remain on as long as the engine is running.
  • The doors lock, and the climate control system may turn on.
  • The engine continues to run for 10 minutes. Repeat the steps to extend the run time by an additional 10 minutes. Refer to 'Extending Engine Run Time' in this chapter.

Depress the brake pedal and turn the ignition switch to the ON position before driving. For more information, refer to 'Driving the Vehicle' in the 'Starting and Driving' chapter.
