WARNING

Supervise children closely when they play near a vehicle to prevent them from accidentally becoming trapped in the trunk, where they could suffer serious injury. Keep the vehicle locked, make sure the rear seatback and trunk lid are securely latched when not in use, and keep vehicle keys out of children's reach.

The trunk lid inside release mechanism allows a person who has accidentally been locked in the trunk to unlock it.

To open the trunk from the inside, pull the illuminated release handle until the latch unlocks, then push the trunk lid. The release handle is made of a phosphorescent material that glows in the dark after brief exposure to ambient light.

The handle is located in the trunk, on the inside wall of the trunk lid.
