WARNING
- Do not drive with the trunk lid open. Harmful exhaust gases may enter the passenger compartment. Refer to the "Exhaust Gas" section in the "Starting and Driving" chapter of this manual.

Intelligent Key
- Watch children closely when they play near a vehicle to prevent them from accidentally becoming trapped in the trunk, where they could be seriously injured. Keep the vehicle locked, make sure the rear seatback and trunk lid are securely latched when not in use, and keep vehicle keys out of children's reach.

Request Switch
To open the trunk lid, do one of the following after unlocking all doors:
- Press the button on the instrument panel.
- Press the button on the Intelligent Key.
- Press the opener control A (depending on vehicle equipment).
To close the trunk lid, lower it and push firmly down.
NOTE:
The request switches for all doors and the liftgate can be disabled when the Intelligent Key door lock function is set to OFF in the vehicle settings on the multi-function display.
See the "Multi-function display" section in the "Instruments and controls" chapter.
Cancel Switch

When the switch, located inside the glove box, is in the OFF position, power to the trunk lid is cut off.
The trunk lid cannot be opened:
- by using the trunk lid opener control;
- if the trunk request switch (depending on vehicle equipment) is pressed while the Intelligent Key is within range of the vehicle; or
- if the HOLD button on the Intelligent Key is pressed.
