Tire dressing
In this manual: Appearance and care

NISSAN does not recommend using tire dressing. Tire manufacturers apply a coating to tires that helps reduce rubber discoloration. If tires are dressed, the dressing may react with the coating and form a chemical compound. This compound may flake off the tires while driving and stain the vehicle.
If you decide to apply tire dressing, take the following precautions:
- Use a water-based tire dressing. The tire coating dissolves more easily in contact with a water-based dressing than with an oil-based one.
- Apply a light coat of tire dressing so that it does not penetrate the tread and grooves of the tires, where it would be difficult to remove.
- Wipe off excess lubricant with a dry cloth. Be sure to completely remove the lubricant from the tread and grooves of the tires.
- Allow the lubricant to dry as specified by its manufacturer.
