It is easier to clean the rear window if you first remove the center stop lamp (depending on vehicle equipment).

Be careful not to damage the center stop lamp wiring when removing the center stop lamp.

To remove the center stop lamp:

  1. Push it toward the rear of the vehicle.
  2. Lift it out to remove it.

The center stop lamp must be reinstalled correctly before driving the vehicle.

Use glass cleaner to remove the film of dirt and dust that has built up on the windows. A film may form when the vehicle is parked directly in the sun. Using glass cleaner with a soft cloth will quickly remove this film.

WARNING

Never use sharp tools, abrasive cleaners, or chlorine-based disinfectants to clean the inside surface of the glass. They may damage the electrical conductors, the radio antenna elements, or the rear window defroster grid.
