Cleaning the exterior of the vehicle

To keep your vehicle looking new, it must be properly maintained.

To protect the painted surfaces, wash your vehicle as soon as possible:

• after a rain shower, to avoid potential damage caused by acid rain;
• after driving along the seashore;
• when substances such as soot, bird droppings, tree sap, metal particles or insects settle on painted surfaces;
• when dust or mud builds up on the body.

Whenever possible, park your vehicle in a garage or covered area.

If the vehicle must be parked outside, leave it in the shade or cover it with a car cover to protect it.

Take care not to scratch the painted surfaces when installing or removing the cover.
