Parking brake

To release

Pull lever 3 slightly upwards, press button 2 and lower the lever fully to the floor.

If you drive with the parking brake not fully released, the red warning light on the instrument panel will stay on.

To apply

Pull lever 3 upwards. Make sure the vehicle is securely immobilised.

The warning lightcomes on
on the instrument panel.

If the underbody of the vehicle is struck during a manoeuvre (for example against a kerb, a raised pavement or any other street furniture), you may damage the vehicle (for example, bending an axle).

To avoid any risk of an accident, have your vehicle checked by a Brand Representative.

While driving, make sure the parking brake is fully released (red warning light off), otherwise there is a risk of overheating or even damage.

When stopped, depending on the slope and/or the vehicle load, it may be necessary to apply at least two additional notches of the parking brake and engage a gear (1st or reverse) for vehicles with a manual gearbox, or position P for vehicles with an automatic gearbox.
