Ignition on, operate lever 1

• A off.
• B intermittent wiping. Between wipes, the blades stop for several seconds.

  The interval between wipes can be changed by turning ring 2.

• C slow continuous wiping.
• D fast continuous wiping

Special feature

While driving, any stop of the vehicle reduces the wiping speed. From fast continuous speed, you switch to slow continuous speed.

As soon as the vehicle moves, wiping returns to the originally selected speed.

Any action on lever 1 takes priority and cancels this automatic function.

Vehicles with automatic wiping function

Engine running, operate lever 1

• A off.
• B automatic wiping function With this position selected, the system detects water on the windscreen and triggers wipes at the appropriate wiping speed. The triggering threshold and the interval between wipes can be changed by turning ring 2:
• E: minimum sensitivity
• F: maximum sensitivity Note: in fog or snowfall, automatic wiping is not guaranteed and remains under the driver's control.
• C slow continuous wiping.
• D fast continuous wiping.

When working under the bonnet, make sure the wiper control lever is in position A (off). Risk of injury.

Washer

Ignition on, pull lever 1 towards you.

A short action triggers, in addition to washing, one back-and-forth sweep of the wipers.

A prolonged action triggers, in addition to washing, three back-and-forth sweeps, followed after a few seconds by a fourth.

Before
any work on the windscreen (washing the vehicle, defrosting, cleaning the windscreen…), return lever 1 to position A (off). Risk of injury and/or damage. In snow or frost, clear the windscreen (including the central area behind the interior mirror) and the rear window before switching on the wipers (risk of engine overheating).

Check the condition of the wiper blades.

Their service life depends on you:

• they must remain clean: clean the blades, windscreen and rear window regularly with soapy water;
• do not use them when the windscreen or rear window is dry;
• lift them off the windscreen or rear window when they have not been used for a long time.

In all cases, replace them as soon as their effectiveness decreases: approximately every year.

Before using the rear wiper, make sure no carried object obstructs the travel of the blade.

Do not use the rear wiper arm to open or close the tailgate.

Rear wiper with speed-dependent intermittent operation

Ignition on, turn the end of lever 1 until reference mark 2 is opposite the symbol.

The wiping frequency varies with vehicle speed.

When working under the bonnet, make sure the wiper control lever is in the off position. Risk of injury.

Rear wiper-washer

Ignition on, turn the end of lever 1 until reference mark 2 is opposite the symbol.

When you release the lever, it returns to the rear wiper position.

Special feature

If the front wipers are on or in automatic mode, the rear wiper performs intermittent wiping when you engage reverse.
