Press switch 1 to switch this function off. The message "Stop & Start OFF" appears on the instrument panel and indicator lamp 2 on the switch lights up.

Pressing it again switches the system on. The message "Stop & Start ON" appears on the instrument panel and indicator lamp 2 built into switch 1 goes out.

Special feature: with the engine in standby mode, pressing switch 1 restarts the engine automatically.

The system switches on automatically each time the engine is started by pressing the start button (see "Starting and stopping the engine" in chapter 2).
