Operating principle
Ultrasonic sensors fitted in the vehicle bumper "measure" the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle.
The system emits audible signals whose frequency increases as the vehicle approaches an obstacle. When the obstacle is about 20-30 centimeters from the vehicle, the signal becomes continuous.
The system detects obstacles in front of, behind and beside the vehicle.
As long as the vehicle is traveling below approximately 10 km/h, the parking assistance system remains switched on.
Special cases

Make sure the ultrasonic sensors marked with arrows 1 are not covered by anything (dirt, mud, snow, etc.).
This function is an additional aid while driving when maneuvering, informing the driver by audible signals of the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle. However, it must in no way replace the driver, who must remain alert and responsible when maneuvering. The driver must always be prepared for sudden events that may occur while driving: when maneuvering, pay attention to moving obstacles (such as a child, an animal, a stroller, a bicycle, etc.) or small obstacles (a stone, a post, etc.).a child, an animal, a stroller, a bicycle, etc.) or small obstacles (a stone, a post, etc.).

Note: screen 2 displays the surroundings of the vehicle and emits audible signals.
You must drive a few meters before side detection is activated.
When all zones have a grey background, this means the vehicle is monitored on all sides:
- A: analysis of the vehicle surroundings is in progress;
- B: analysis of the vehicle surroundings is complete.
