B84 or C84 or S84, and RIGHT-HAND DRIVE

REMOVAL

  • Remove the brake pedal (Chapter Mechanical Control Components, Brake Pedal, page 37A-13).
  • Turn the brake light switch (1) a quarter turn counterclockwise.
  • Remove:
  • the brake light switch (1),
  • the two nuts of the retaining ring (2) of the return bar,
  • the retaining ring of the return bar,
  • the connecting pin (3) of the "return bar - brake booster pushrod" assembly.

CAUTION Do not damage the clutch slave cylinder lines.

  • Remove the return bar by pulling it out on the driver's side.

INSTALLATION

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
