PROCEDURE

The fuel tank is equipped with a venting system. If the fuel system does not vent automatically, proceed as follows: PROCEDURE 1. Fill the fuel injection pump with diesel fuel. 2. Pour fuel into the fuel filter. 3. Start the engine by towing the vehicle with another vehicle. This ensures rapid venting of the fuel system. Warning Make sure diesel fuel does not get onto the coolant hoses. If fuel does get onto the hoses, clean them immediately. Replace damaged hoses.
