Glow Plug Check
PROCEDURE

Glow plug relay socket in the relay and fuse box
Glow plugs are not repairable. Replace faulty glow plugs. PROCEDURE 1. Connect a test light between the terminal of the No. 4 cylinder glow plug and ground. 2. Turn the ignition key to the glow plug heating position. The test light must come on. If the light does not come on, check the glow plug fuse. If the fuse is good, remove the glow plug relay from the relay and fuse box. Connect the test light to relay terminal 30. If the light comes on, the relay is faulty and must be replaced. If the light does not come on, there is a fault in the wiring or in the relay and fuse box circuit. Connect the test light to terminal 86 and turn the ignition key to the glow plug heating position. If the test light comes on, the connection between terminal 86 and ground, or between terminal 87 and the fuse, is broken, or the relay is faulty. If the test light does not come on, there is a fault in the relay and fuse box. 3. Disconnect the glow plug connecting bar. 4. Connect the test light lead to the positive battery terminal. Connect the test light to each glow plug in turn; the test light must come on. If the light does not come on, the glow plug is faulty and must be replaced. Glow plug tightening torque: 30 N·m. If glow plugs with burnt-out electrodes are found, check the injectors using special equipment.
