PROCEDURE

Perform the check with the battery voltage not lower than 11.5 V in the following order: PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the glow plug supply wire and connect an ammeter. 2. Disconnect the wire from the engine coolant temperature sensor. 3. Turn the ignition key to the glow plug heating position. 4. The ammeter should show a current of about 48 A. The current consumed by one glow plug is about 12 A. If the ammeter shows 36 A, one glow plug is faulty; 24 A – two glow plugs; 12 A – three glow plugs; 0 – all four glow plugs.
