Removal and Installation PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the wire from the battery. 2. Relieve the fuel line pressure (see para. 4 of subsection 3.2.6).

3. Mark the location and disconnect all fuel lines from the fuel distributor 12 (see figure K-Jetronic Fuel Injection System Components). 4. Unscrew the three mounting screws of the fuel distributor 12 and carefully remove it. Make sure piston 14 does not fall out of the distributor. If the piston falls out accidentally, wash it in gasoline and reinstall it with the chamfered end facing down. 5. Before installing the fuel distributor, check that piston 14 moves freely up and down; otherwise, replace the fuel distributor. Replace O-ring 15. Install the fuel distributor in reverse order.
