Replacing the Air Filter Element

PROCEDURE

Air cleaner and intake manifold, fuel injection system 1 – filter element; 2 – air cleaner cover; 3 – air flow meter gasket; 4 – air flow meter; 5 – mixture quality adjusting screw; 6, 7 – clamp; 8 – air duct; 9 – throttle body; 10 – gasket; 11 – enrichment vacuum valve; 12 – intake manifold; 13 – hose; 14 – hose to brake booster; 15 – electrical connector (black); 16 – cold start air valve; 17 – hose to cylinder head; 18 – intake manifold gasket; 19 – O-ring; 20 – mixture quantity adjusting screw; 21 – engine start idle speed control valve

PROCEDURE 1. Loosen clamp 7 and disconnect air duct 8.

2. Unhook the spring clips securing cover 2 and remove cover 2 together with air flow meter 4.

3. Remove filter element 1 from the housing. 4. Wipe dust from cover 2 and the filter housing. 5. Install a new filter element, refit cover 2 and connect air duct 8.
