PROCEDURE

The oil filter must be replaced whenever the engine oil is changed and whenever the engine is disassembled. The filter replacement procedure is the same for all engines.

PROCEDURE 1. Using the special wrench, unscrew the old filter. Replace the filter O-ring and screw on the new filter by hand. If no special filter wrench is available, the filter housing can be punctured with a screwdriver and the filter unscrewed by using the screwdriver as a lever.

2. If the filter bracket is removed, replace the bracket gasket.
