PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the wires from the fan motor, bend back bracket 1 (see illustration Radiator and cooling fan for 1.1 and 1.3 L engines), and remove the wires from it. 3. Remove the bolts securing fan shroud 2 to the radiator. 4. Lift fan shroud 2 together with fan 16 up and out. 5. Remove the nuts securing fan 16 to shroud 2 and remove the fan. 6. Remove the fan blade: on AEG fans, drive out the pin; on BOSCH fans, remove the retaining ring. 7. Install the electric cooling fan in the reverse order.
