PROCEDURE

When replacing the lambda sensor, install a sensor of the same type as the one originally fitted to the vehicle. PROCEDURE 1. Disconnect the electrical lead from the sensor. 2. Unscrew lambda sensor 15 (see figure Exhaust System) from exhaust manifold 12. 3. Apply VAG G5 special grease to the thread of the new lambda sensor. Make sure the grease does not get into the sensor openings. Do not touch the active part of the sensor with your hands; protect it from contamination. 4. Screw the new lambda sensor into the exhaust manifold and tighten it to 50 N·m.
