Removal PROCEDURE 1. Remove the brake master cylinder 18 (refer to Brake Drive Components illustration, refer to subsection 10.5).

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose 19 from the vacuum booster check valve 20. 3. Remove the check valve 20. 4. Remove the lower instrument panel cover on the driver's side (refer to items 3–4 of subsection 8.5). 5. Perform items 2–4 of subsection 10.2. 6. Unscrew the four nuts 24 securing the brake booster 21 to the bracket 10. 7. Remove the brake booster 21. Installation Install the brake booster in the reverse order of removal, noting that the shaft 9 and pin 1 must be lubricated.
