Engine and interior heater* - timer

The timer function of the engine and interior heater in the Volvo S80 (2nd generation, 2013–2016) allows convenient pre-conditioning of the vehicle. The engine and interior heater timer is linked to the vehicle clock.

Two different times can be programmed with the timer. Time here means the clock time at which warming up of the vehicle interior is complete. The vehicle electronics calculate the start time based on the current outside temperature.

CAUTION

Setting the vehicle clock erases any timer programming that is present.

Setting 3

   Press OK to access the menu.

   Use the thumbwheel to scroll step by step to one of the heater timers and select it with OK.

   Briefly press OK to reach the hour setting, which will light up.

Starting the engine

Switching off

The heater started by the timer can be switched off manually before the timer switches it off. Proceed as follows:

   Use the thumbwheel to scroll step by step to Heater and select it with OK.

> If a timer is set but not activated, a clock symbol is shown next to the set time.

   The timer can be switched off as follows:

• Press and hold OK, or
• briefly press OK to open the menu. Then select the option to stop the timer in the menu and confirm with OK.

5. Exit the menu with RESET.

A heater started by the timer can also be switched off directly.
