Displaying the distance remaining
When you briefly press button (T) with the ignition switched on, the distance remaining until the next service is displayed. You can display the distance remaining until the next service is due with the engine off or running. The distance remaining until the next service is updated for the first time after 500 km, and then each time you switch on the ignition.
If you display the distance remaining until the next service is due on a new vehicle or after a service has been carried out, the following message appears during the first 500 km:
SERVICE IN — KM — DAYS
This also applies to vehicles with 'LongLife Service'.
Service reminder
From 2,000 kilometres before a service is due, the following message appears in the display when you switch on the ignition:
SERVICE IN 2000 KM — DAYS
After approximately 5 seconds, the display returns to normal mode.
The distance remaining until the next service is due is updated each time you switch on the ignition, until the due date is reached.
Service due
When a service is due, the message SERVICE ! appears in the display immediately after you switch on the ignition. After approximately 5 seconds, the display returns to normal mode.
Resetting the display
After the service has been carried out, the workshop resets the indicator. If the service was not carried out by a specialist workshop, you can reset it as follows:
- Switch off the ignition.
- Switch the ignition back on while holding down button (1), Fig. 7. One of two messages appears in the display: SERVICE IN - KM or SERVICE !.
- Pull the reset button (2) until the message
SERVICE IN 2000 KM — DAYS or SERVICE ! appears.
If you do not press the reset button within the next 5 seconds, you exit the display reset mode.
Note
- Do not reset between service due dates, otherwise the readings will be incorrect.
- The service display data is stored in memory even if the battery is disconnected.
- If a priority 1 fault (red symbol) is present, the distance remaining until the next service cannot be displayed.
