We will repair or replace any Ford Original Accessory properly installed by an authorized Ford dealer that proves defective in factory materials or workmanship during the warranty period, as well as any component damaged by a defective accessory.

We warrant your Ford Original Accessory under the warranty that provides the greatest benefit to you:

  • 24 months, unlimited mileage.
  • Remainder of your new vehicle limited warranty.

Contact an authorized dealer for detailed information and a copy of the warranty.

Ford Licensed Accessories are designed by accessory manufacturers. The manufacturer develops and therefore warrants Ford Licensed Accessories. Ford Motor Company does not design or test these accessories to Ford engineering requirements. Contact an authorized Ford dealer for limited warranty information and request a copy of the Ford Licensed Accessories Limited Warranty from the accessory manufacturer.

To achieve maximum vehicle performance, keep the following information in mind when adding accessories or equipment to your vehicle:

  • When adding accessories, equipment, passengers and cargo to your vehicle, do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) as shown on the Certification label. Ask an authorized dealer for specific weight information.
  • The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulate the use of mobile communication systems that are equipped with radio transmitters, such as two-way radios, telephones and theft alarm systems. Any such equipment installed in your vehicle must comply with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) requirements and must be installed only by an authorized dealer.
  • An authorized dealer must install mobile communication systems. Improper installation may adversely affect the operation of your vehicle, especially if the manufacturer did not design the mobile communication system specifically for use in vehicles.
  • If you or an authorized Ford dealer add any electrical or electronic accessories or components to your vehicle, you may adversely affect battery performance and battery life. In addition, you may also adversely affect the performance of other electrical systems in the vehicle.
