Electric power steering

Electric Power Steering Precautions

Adjust your speed and driving style to match the reduced steering effort.

Extreme continuous steering may increase steering effort. This occurs to prevent internal overheating and damage to the steering system. If this happens, you will not lose the ability to steer your vehicle manually and the system will not be damaged. Normal steering and driving allow the cooling system and steering assist to return to normal operation.

Electric Power Steering - Adaptive Steering

Adaptive Learning (if equipped)

Adaptive Learning helps correct road irregularities and improves overall handling and steering. It communicates with the braking system, helping to manage advanced stability control and collision avoidance systems.

Steering Tips

If the steering wheel wobbles or pulls, check the following:

  • Incorrectly inflated tire.
  • Uneven tire wear.
  • Loose or worn suspension components.
  • Incorrect vehicle alignment.
