How Traction Control Works
If your vehicle begins to slide, the system applies the brakes to individual wheels and, if necessary, reduces engine power at the same time. If the wheels spin when accelerating on a slippery or loose surface, the system reduces power to increase traction.
Turning Traction Control On and Off
The traction control system turns on every time you start the vehicle.
If your vehicle is stuck in mud or snow, turning off traction control may be beneficial as it allows the wheels to spin.
Your vehicle may have MyKey restrictions on this feature.
