How Trailer Sway Control Works

The system applies the brakes to individual wheels and reduces engine torque to help stabilize the vehicle.

If the trailer begins to sway, the stability control indicator flashes and the message Trailer Sway Reduce Speed appears in the information display.

Stop the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. Check the tongue weight on the hitch and the trailer load distribution.

Trailer Sway Control Precautions

Turning Trailer Sway Control On and Off

  1. Press Features on the touchscreen.
  2. Press Tow.
  3. The Trailer Sway Control switch turns the system on or off.

The system turns on each time you start your vehicle.
