Air Conditioning System (for some vehicle versions)

~1min read

Your vehicle is equipped with a sealed air conditioning system. All major air conditioning service operations, such as refrigerant charging, must be performed by qualified personnel at a service station. The vehicle owner may only periodically check the normal operation of the air conditioning system.

Periodically inspect and clean the outside of the engine coolant radiator and air conditioning condenser fins to remove accumulated dirt, leaves, insects, and other debris.

These deposits obstruct the free flow of air through the heat exchangers and reduce heat transfer efficiency.

To clean the radiator and condenser, use a low-pressure water stream or a soft brush.

WARNING

The radiator and air conditioning condenser fins can be easily damaged if handled carelessly. Therefore, do not use a high-pressure water stream or stiff brushes to clean the heat exchangers externally.

During the autumn and winter season, operate the air conditioning system regularly, at least once a week.

Run the air conditioning system for at least 10 minutes while driving at a steady speed after the engine has warmed up to normal operating temperature. This is required to maintain the lubricating film on the compressor parts formed by the oil contained in the refrigerant.

If the air conditioner cooling efficiency decreases, contact a dealer service station to check the system. The air conditioning system is charged with HFC 134a (R 134a) refrigerant.

ВНИМАНИЕ
WARNING

Special equipment must be used when servicing the air conditioning system.

The air conditioning service unit removes the used refrigerant from the system for recycling. Releasing refrigerant vapors into the atmosphere is not permitted, as it harms the environment.
