Temporary Spare Tire
The temporary spare tire is intended for use only as a temporary replacement for one of the vehicle's damaged tires. As soon as possible, repair or replace the damaged tire and reinstall it in place of the temporary spare tire.
Check the air pressure in the temporary spare tire at the same time as checking the pressure in all other tires. The normal air pressure in the temporary spare tire is:
420 kPa (4.2 kgf/cm2)
Observe the following precautions:
Under no circumstances exceed a speed of 80 km/h.
The temporary spare tire reduces ride comfort and vehicle comfort, and has poorer traction on some road surfaces compared to a wheel with a normal tire. Therefore, exercise extra caution and attention when driving.
Do not fit snow chains to the temporary spare tire.
Do not install the temporary spare tire on vehicles of another make or model.
Do not install more than one temporary spare tire on the vehicle at the same time.
Do not install the temporary spare tire when towing a trailer.
The temporary spare tire is smaller than the standard wheel of your vehicle. When the temporary spare tire is installed, the ground clearance of the vehicle is reduced. Driving on rough or bumpy roads may damage components located in the lower part of the body.

Replace the tire if smooth transverse strips (tread wear indicators) appear on the tread. The new tire must be completely identical in construction and size to the old tire and must be mounted on the same temporary spare wheel. The temporary spare tire is not designed for fitting to a standard-size wheel, and conversely, a standard-size tire must not be fitted to the temporary spare wheel.
(For vehicles supplied to Australia)
The spare tire for this vehicle is rated for a load not less than that shown in column A of the table. Columns B, C and D show the load index, speed symbol and maximum permissible speed, respectively.
If you have installed the spare tire, drive carefully. Do not exceed a speed of 80 km/h. Install a normal tire as soon as possible.
In the table:
Column "A" shows the maximum permissible load in kg, column "B" — the load index equivalent to the load, column "C" — the speed rating of the tire, column "D" — the equivalent maximum speed, km/h.
A / B / C / D
Maximum load per wheel / Load index / Speed symbol / km/h (speed)
