Battery discharge warning light

Charging system warning light
The oil pressure warning light should come on when the ignition is switched on (key in the ON (II) position) and go off after the engine starts. If the charging system warning light comes on while the engine is running, the battery is discharging. In addition, the symbol “
” appears on the multi-function display, which may be accompanied by the text "CHECK SYSTEM" (see page 105).
Turn off all auxiliary electrical equipment immediately. Do not operate the power windows or other power-consuming devices and systems. Keep the engine running so that it does not stall, since restarting the engine with the starter will cause a significant additional discharge of the battery.
If the battery discharge warning light comes on, go directly to an authorized service center or workshop for assistance in correcting the problem.
