PROCEDURE

1. Remove the timing belt, front cover, flywheel and oil pan.
2. Remove the rear cover from the cylinder block and the crankshaft rear oil seal.
3. Remove the nuts and the connecting rod caps.
4. Remove the bolts and the crankshaft main bearing caps.
5. Remove the crankshaft position sensor rotor.

Mark the crankshaft main bearing caps so that they can be installed in their original positions and orientation.
