Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the VIS valve connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the VIS valve.

    Specification: Refer to "Specifications"

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the variable intake solenoid connector (A).
  3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses (B) from the valve.
  4. Remove the mounting bolts, then remove the valve from the surge tank.

Installation
  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. In this case, inspect it before use.
  • Make sure foreign material does not enter the valve.
  1. Installation is the reverse of removal. Variable intake solenoid bracket bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
