Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the HO2S connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminals 2 and 5 [B1/S1] of the HO2S. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 4 [B1/S2] of the HO2S.
  4. Make sure the resistance is within specification.

    Specification: Refer to "Specifications"

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the sensor (B).
    • Note that the SST (part number: 09392-2H100) is useful when removing the heated oxygen sensor.

Installation

  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. In this case, inspect it before use.
  • DO NOT use cleaner, spray or lubricant on the sensing element and sensor connector, as oil components in them may degrade sensor performance.
  • The sensor and its wiring may be damaged if they contact the exhaust system (exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, etc.).
  1. Installation is the reverse of removal. Heated oxygen sensor: 39.2 ~ 49 N·m
