REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF COMPONENTS

IGNITION COILS

1. Remove the ignition system fuse (type F blade fuse, 30 A rating).

2. Remove the cylinder head cover.

3. Disconnect the ignition system wiring from the ignition coils and disconnect the high-tension spark plug wires.

4. Remove the bolt securing the ignition coil pack and remove the coils.

ROUTING OF HIGH-TENSION SPARK PLUG WIRES

Incorrect routing of high-tension spark plug wires induces EMF in adjacent wires, which may cause misfires, jerking and stumbling of the vehicle at high engine speeds.
