Fuses

The vehicle's electrical system is protected from damage caused by electrical overloads by fuses.
This vehicle has 2 (or 3) fuse panels: one is located in the driver's side kick panel, and the other is in the engine compartment near the battery.
If any of your vehicle's lights, accessories, or controls do not work, check the corresponding circuit fuse. If a fuse is blown, the element inside the fuse will have melted or broken.
If an electrical system does not operate, first check the fuse panel on the driver's side. Before replacing a blown fuse, turn the engine off and turn all accessories off, then disconnect the negative battery cable. Always replace a blown fuse with one of the same rating.
If a replacement fuse blows, this indicates a problem in the electrical system. Avoid using the affected system and contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer immediately.
WARNING
NEVER replace a fuse with anything other than a fuse of the same rating.
- A fuse with a higher rating may cause damage and possibly a fire.
- Do not install wire or aluminum foil in place of a fuse, even as a temporary repair. This may cause severe wiring damage and possibly a fire.
NOTICE
Do not use a screwdriver or any other metal object to remove fuses, as this may cause a short circuit and damage the system.
