Power Steering Fluid Level Inspection
1. Park the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.
2. Start the engine. With the vehicle stationary, turn the steering wheel several times in succession until the fluid temperature rises to approximately 50-60°C.
3. With the engine idling, turn the steering wheel fully to the right and left several times.
4. Check that the power steering fluid in the reservoir is not cloudy or foamy.

5. Check the difference in fluid level in the power steering reservoir with the engine running and with the engine off.
1. If the fluid level changes by more than 5 mm, repeat the power steering system air bleeding procedure.
2. If the fluid level rises sharply after the engine is stopped, air has not been completely removed from the system.
3. If air is not completely removed from the power steering system, rattling noises will occur from the power steering pump and the flow control valve. This will shorten the service life of the pump and other system components.
