Low-Aspect-Ratio Tires

~1min read

Low-profile tires, with an aspect ratio below 50, are provided for a sporty appearance.

Because low-profile tires are optimized for handling and braking, the ride may be uncomfortable and there may be more noise compared with conventional tires.

CAUTION

Because the sidewall of a low-profile tire is shorter than normal, the wheel and tire are more easily damaged. Therefore, follow the instructions below.

- When driving on rough roads or off-road, drive carefully because the tires and wheels may be damaged. Inspect the tires and wheels after driving.
- When passing over a pothole, speed bump, manhole or curb, drive slowly so the tires and wheels are not damaged.
- If a tire is damaged, we recommend that you have the tire condition checked or contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- To prevent tire damage, check the tire condition and pressure every 1,800 miles (3,000 km).

CAUTION

  • It is not easy to recognize tire damage with the eyes. However, if there is even the slightest sign of tire damage, have the tire inspected or replaced because tire damage may cause air to leak from the tire.
  • If the tire is damaged while driving on rough roads, off-road, over a pothole, manhole or curb, the damage is not covered by the warranty.
