Driving Your Vehicle
Idle Stop and Go (ISG) System
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~1min read
The ISG system is designed to reduce fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine when the vehicle is at a standstill (for example, at a red light, stop sign, or in traffic).
The engine starts automatically when the initial conditions are met.
The ISG system is always active when the engine is running.
Information
When the engine is automatically started by the ISG system, some warning indicators (for example, ABS, ESC, ESC OFF, EPS and the parking brake warning light) may illuminate for a few seconds due to low battery voltage. However, this does not indicate a malfunction of the ISG system.
