WARNING
For your safety, read the owner's manual before using the Smart Cruise Control system.
WARNING
The Smart Cruise Control system does not replace safe driving practices; it is a convenience feature only. It is the driver's responsibility to always check the speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead.
WARNING
Observe the following precautions:
- Always set the vehicle speed below the speed limit in your country.
- If the Smart Cruise Control indicator (Cruise
) remains illuminated in the instrument cluster, Smart Cruise Control may be activated unintentionally. Keep the Smart Cruise Control system turned off (Cruise
indicator OFF) when Smart Cruise Control is not being used to avoid setting the speed accidentally.
- Use the Smart Cruise Control system only when driving on open roads in good weather conditions.
- Do not use Smart Cruise Control when it may not be safe to keep the vehicle at a constant speed:
- When driving in heavy traffic or when road conditions make it difficult to drive at a constant speed
- When driving on wet, icy, or snow-covered roads
- When driving on steep downhill or uphill grades
- When driving in windy areas
- When driving in parking lots
- When driving near guardrails
- When driving on sharp curves
- When visibility is limited (for example, due to fog, snow, rain, or sandstorms)
- When vehicle detection capability is reduced due to modification of the vehicle, such as a difference in height between the front and rear of the vehicle - Unexpected situations may lead to possible accidents. Always pay attention to road conditions and driving, even when the Smart Cruise Control system is operating.
