Speed Limiter Operation

You can set a speed limit when you do not want to drive above a specific speed.

If you exceed the set speed limit, the warning system operates (the set speed limit will flash and a warning sound will be heard) until the vehicle speed returns within the speed limit.

Information

While the speed limit control is active, the cruise control system cannot be activated.

Speed Limiter Switch

MODE: Switches between the cruise control/ISG system and the speed limit control system.

RES+: Resumes or increases the speed limit control speed.

SET-: Sets or decreases the speed limit control speed.

CANCEL: Cancels the set speed limit.

To Set the Speed Limit

1. Press thebutton to turn the system on. The speed limit indicator in the instrument cluster will illuminate.

2. Press the lever down (SET-).

3. • Press the lever up (RES+) or down (SET-), and release it at the desired speed.

• Press and hold the lever up (RES+) or down (SET-). The speed will increase or decrease by 3 mph (5 km/h).

The set speed limit will be displayed on the instrument cluster.

If you press the accelerator pedal less than approximately 50%, the vehicle speed will observe the set speed limit, even if you want to exceed the preset speed limit.

However, if you press the accelerator pedal more than approximately 70%, you can exceed the speed limit. The set speed limit will then flash and a warning sound will be heard until you return the vehicle speed within the speed limit.

To turn off the speed limit control, do one of the following:

• pressbutton.
• If you press the CANCEL (O) button once, the set speed limit will be cancelled, but this does not turn the system off. If you want to resume the speed limit, press the RES+ or SET- lever to the desired speed.
