Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW) System

~1min read
Hyundai i30. system

ISLW displays speed limit information and overtaking restriction information through the instrument cluster and navigation. ISLW detects road signs through the front view camera, which is mounted on the upper part of the inside of the windshield.

ISLW also uses navigation and vehicle information to display speed limit information.

WARNING

  • The Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW) system is only a supplementary system and may not always display speed limits and overtaking restrictions correctly.
  • The driver remains responsible for not exceeding the maximum speed limit.
  • Do not install any accessories or stickers. Do not tint the windshield, especially near the rearview mirror.
  • ISLW detects traffic signs through the camera to display speed limit information. Therefore, ISLW may not operate properly when traffic signs are difficult to detect. For more information, refer to "System Limitations".
  • Be extremely careful to keep the camera sensor free from water.
  • Do not disassemble the camera unit or apply any impact to the camera assembly.
  • Do not place any reflective objects (such as white paper or mirrors) on the instrument panel. Any light reflection may cause a system malfunction.
  • The system is not available in all countries.

Information

We recommend having the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer when:

  • The windshield has been replaced.
  • The camera or related parts have been repaired or removed.
