While driving
The ESC OFF mode should only be used briefly to help free the vehicle if it is stuck in snow or mud, by temporarily disabling ESC operation to maintain wheel torque.
To turn off ESC while driving, press the ESC OFF button while driving on a level road surface.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the drivetrain:
- Do not allow excessive wheel spin on one axle when the ESC, ABS and parking brake indicators are illuminated. Damage caused by excessive wheel spin is not covered by the vehicle warranty. Reduce engine power and do not spin the wheel(s) excessively while these indicators are displayed.
- When operating the vehicle on a dynamometer, make sure the ESC system is turned off (ESC OFF indicator illuminated).
Information
Turning off ESC does not affect the operation of ABS or the standard brake system.
