Low-Aspect-Ratio Tires

~1min read

A low-profile tire, which has an aspect ratio of less than 50, is designed for a sports car. The low aspect ratio is designed to optimize handling and braking. Therefore, ride comfort may be reduced and noise may be generated compared to conventional tires.

CAUTION

The sidewall of a low-profile tire is shorter than that of a conventional tire. Therefore, low-profile wheels and tires are easily damaged. Follow the instructions below.

  • Be careful not to damage the tires and wheels when driving on rough roads or when leaving the road. After driving, inspect the tires and wheels.
  • When driving over a pothole, speed bump, manhole, or curb, drive slowly to avoid damaging the tires and wheels.
  • If you hit a tire, check its condition. Or, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
  • Check tire condition and pressure every 3,000 km (1,800 miles) to prevent tire damage.
  • It is difficult to recognize tire damage by sight alone. If there is any sign of tire damage, inspect and replace the tire to prevent damage caused by air leakage.
  • If the tire is damaged while driving on rough roads, off-road, or over obstacles such as potholes, manholes, or curbs, your warranty does not cover the damage.
  • Tire information is printed on the tire sidewall.
